Infra is crowded; data infra that deletes multichain translation tax is an outlier

“Google for blockchains” resonates, but @Covalent_hq feels more like Snowflake + Postgres for onchain

TL;DR:
• One API with normalized schemas across 100+ chains
• Historical + realtime without duct-taped indexers
• Hundreds of millions of requests in seconds
• Low-latency pipes for bots/dashboards, fewer ops fires
• Deterministic endpoints instead of RPC roulette

What it unlocks:
• Consumer apps that don’t freeze at chain boundaries
• Trading/risk systems with coherent cross-chain state
• Accounting/compliance that actually reconciles
• InfoFi dashboards that stay fresh under load

Moats to watch:
• Depth of coverage vs long-tail chains
• Freshness/finality handling on L2s and reorgs
• Trace/log parity, NFT + DEX semantics
• Billing predictability, SLAs, provenance guarantees

If they keep compounding speed + reliability, this becomes the default multichain data plane, imo
